Humans are animals. We are all of the same species and thus we all manifest similar characteristics. Generally, as a group, we are easily led, easily manipulated, easily convinced to abandon what we know instinctively to be true and instead follow a self-destructive hive-mind designed to temporarily benefit the few over the many. How could someone become a terrorist? Push a human far enough and one can do anything. Rather than demonizing actions that we deem “crazy” we should be examining the circumstances that push people to such extremes. What might be a sane reaction to an insane world can instigate genocides, wars, and chaos.
